The ARAEX Group was set up in 1993 as the common Export Department of a group of Rioja Alavesa bodegas, namely: Lar de Paula, Marqués de Elciego, Unión de Cosecheros de Labastida, Luis Cañas, Heredad de Baroja, Manuel Quintano, Muriel and Amaren In 2005, it became the leading Rioja Alavesa wine promotion and marketing group, handling 20.2% of all exports.

ARAEX is owned by the bodegas that make up the group, and its corporate purpose is the promotion, communication, marketing and sale of their wines on foreign markets. Each bodega receives customised, separate attention, because each company is a totally independent entity.

Our wines have won a number of important international awards and the Araex bodegas are pioneers in the implementation of quality systems in the Rioja region (ISO 2001 rev 2000, BRC IFS and ISO 14000) which guarantee the traceability of our products from the vineyard.
